Yes, we do. We offer free quotes and advice with no obligation.

Q: Are you qualified and licensed?
Yes. I am a licensed and qualified electrician and electrical contractor, with over 40+ years’ experience in all aspects of domestic, commercial, and industrial electrical work (small to large jobs) as well as emergency electrical call outs.

Q: Can I DIY small electrical jobs in my house?

That’s a definite No. Only a licensed electrician or an electrical contractor can do domestic wiring or house rewiring. It makes sense for safety to hire a qualified electrician to carry out all your household wiring. You also risk your personal safety and the safety of your family and friends. DIY electrical work is dangerous and illegal in Queensland.

Q: What causes electric shocks?
Faulty appliances, wrong repair and even naked wires can cause shocks. If you are worried about your power points, call a professional to inspect your home for peace of mind or to prevent any electrical issue.

Q: How does an Electrical Safety Switch save lives?
On a normal power circuit, the current flowing to an appliance returns through the neutral wire. If the circuit is compromised, the electricity can leak to earth through a person in contact with the appliance, causing death or serious injury.

A safety switch detects the loss of power from the circuit and cuts the supply of electricity in as little as 30 milliseconds – 0.003 seconds. Importantly, this response time is faster than the critical section of a heartbeat, and therefore significantly reduces the risk of death or serious injury.

Q: Do I need a safety switch?
The law states that all power circuits up to 20Amps must be protected by a safety switch. It is good practice to ensure that all lighting circuits are protected by a safety switch.

Q: Are safety switches compulsory in Qld?
Yes – Safety switches have been compulsory on the power outlet circuits of new homes since the early 1990s, and on the light and power circuits of new homes in most states since 2000. Safety Switches provide a higher level of protection against electrocution or electric shock and have a proven track record of saving lives.

We recommend installing safety switches on all the circuits in your home to fully protect your family from electrical incidents.

Q: I have new LED lights, can you install them?
Yes. We can install LED lights. We can also supply LED Lights if you require. Ask us for great rates.

Q: What do I need to consider when choosing a ceiling fan?
Ceiling fans are an excellent investment for an effective and efficient way to keep homes cool and well ventilated. Here are some useful tips to help you choose that perfect ceiling fan.

– Energy savings
– Where it is to be installed, installation location
– The size of the room, larger rooms need bigger fans
– Is there a need for a fan which includes a light
– Room characteristics, the design style and finish you are after
– What Fan Blade performance is needed
– Is a remote control fan needed?
– Consider the warranty
